IV Vitamin mineral therapy, aka The Myer’s Cocktail, was created by a Maryland physician who used intravenous injections of particular nutrients to treat a wide array of health problems among his patients.
The original premise of the cocktail was to override a poorly functioning digestive system: you could simply go directly to the bloodstream. When nutrients are injected intravenously digestion is bypassed.
The standard ingredients in Myer’s Cocktail Vitamin B complex 100 Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) Magnesium (Magnesium chloride) Vitamin B5 (Dexpanthenol) Calcium (Calcium gluconate) Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine hydrochloride) Folic Acid (Methyltetrahydrofolate) Trace minerals (Zinc, selenium, chromium, Manganese)
In addition to IV Myers, Nourish IV offers IV iron infusions, IV Vitamin therapy, including NAD+, Glutathione, Chelation, as well as vitamin shots. All supervised in Kelowna, BC by physicians and RNs
What would the process be to get an iron IV?
Your doctor can refer directly to our clinic. The referral must include a ferritin result from the last 3 months below a certain level that determines the dosage. If you don’t have a doctor’s referral (or it’s missing a ferritin lab value), you can book in with any of our doctors for a history and hematology/ferritin requisition.
How often and what types of iron infusions do you provide? Are they single dose, or recurring?
We use: Monoferric (1,000mg) if ferritin is <30 ug/L, and Monoferric (500mg) if ferritin is >30 ug/L. Most will only need one infusion, but we would confirm 4-6 weeks after your first infusion with follow-up lab work (which we will provide), and book a second infusion if needed at that point.
We also use: Venofer (200mg) twice/week, usually completing up to 5 treatments (1,000mg total), and re-testing 4-6 weeks after the first series to confirm if further infusions are needed.
How long does it take?
Be prepared to spend up to 90 minutes in the clinic on your first visit. Your initial visit and first infusion(s) will be done more slowly, and once accustomed, any further infusions will be quicker. The infusion itself will take 20-60 minutes within that time.

NAD+ is a coenzyme molecule that produces energy (ATP) in our mitochondria of our cells. NAD+ levels in the body naturally decrease with age.
IV NAD+ therapy is generally given in graduated doses, increasing with each treatment as tolerated.. NAD+ IV therapy can take between 2-4 hours per treatment, because it is given as a slow drip as to not over stimulate your body.
NAD+ works very well to repair cells throughout the body and neurons in the brain. It is an important component of healthy mitochondrial functioning (the battery that fuels our cells), and by doing so can increase energy, reduce cravings, help repair and support anti-aging.
Glutathione is an antioxidant found in every cell of the body. It acts to recycle nutrients and protect DNA from oxidative damage. Adding it to the end of your IV helps potentiate the actions of the IV and aides in recovery from oxidative damage, like high stress, and increased physical demands on the body.
Chelation therapy, or simply “Chelation”, is the administration of metal-binding agents to remove heavy metals from the body. We are exposed to a variety of different environmental pollutants over time – e.g. lead for lead pipes, lead gas, lead paint; mercury from large fish and amalgam fillings; cadmium from cigarette smoke; and arsenic from contaminated rice and well water. Although we are able to get rid of them, we can only get rid of so much so fast. Any excess will build up and get stored in our body.
Symptoms of heavy metal excess can be vague and non-specific, but some common symptoms are:
B12 shots are a great way to boost energy levels fast! By directly injecting this important vitamin, with or without the addition of vitamin B9, we can bypass the complicated steps involved in absorbing B12 from your food and you’ll notice the difference.
There are many steps required for you to properly absorb vitamin B12 from your food, and if your digestion is impaired in any way, chances are you’re not getting the levels you need to feel energized. People with celiac disease, Crohn’s or colitis, or other inflammatory bowel conditions aren’t able to properly absorb B12 and other nutrients from their diets. While we work on reducing the inflammation, B12 shots can be a great way to get this essential vitamin. Digestion is also affected by stress, and if you’re under a lot of it, a B12 shot can be a great way to give you an energy boost while we work on reducing your stress levels.
Vitamin B12 is only found in meats and animal sources, like dairy. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you might be missing out on this important nutrient. We can help educate you on how to obtain well-balanced proteins from your diet, and in the meantime, we can get you the vitamin B12 you may need
